This is an update to PRONTO™ Server ERSS v2.5 - Service Release 7. This update contains minor corrections, security enhancements and updated documentation.

IMPORTANT NOTE:You must have already upgraded to Service Release 7, or originally installed Service Release 7, to apply this update. If you downloaded and installed either the Q100021 update (SR7) or the full product (SR7) on or after the date of this article (see above), you do not need to install these updates, as they were included in the download. If your installation executables "Q100021.exe", "ProntoServer25-SR7.exe", or "ProntoServer25-SR7-Enterprise.exe" have a digital signature timestamp date of October 21, 2004 or later, then they include these updates.

Installation of these updates, unlike installation of a full Service Release, does not require taking the system offline. No executable files are replaced, only ASP scripts and documentation.

To install this update, make a backup of the "ProntoDemo" and "Prontosvr2" directories, login to your support account and download the file Q100023.exe. This is a WinZip executable file. Unzip the file to the root location where you installed Pronto Server. This is usually "c:\". The unzipped files will overwrite existing files. Look in the "Prontosvr2" directory. Most ASP files in this directory should have a file date of October 21, 2004 or later after installation of this update.
